DO TO OTHERS AS YOU WANT MEN TO DO TO YOU LK. 6: 31 Part II

The Bible in different ways and at different times showed to us how to live healthy and prosperous. We must avoid the works of the flesh.
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Gal 5:19-21)

We should therefore embrace the life of the spirit, a lifestyle which keeps us healthier and joyful.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” (Gal 5:22-23)

If we live according to the fruit of the spirit, we will love our neighbour as ourselves which is the greatest commandment. If we love our neighbour as ourselves, we will not hate, envy, be jealous-of or speak evil of anybody but wish everyone well. Jesus puts it clearly in Luke 6:31,
“And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.” (Luk 6:31)

To live a peaceful life, we should do to others as we want others to do to us. This is a golden rule for a life of peace and prosperity. If you dislike people speaking negative things about you, then do not do it to anybody.
If you hate being gossiped, don’t gossip others. If you hate being evil spoken of, don’t speak evil of others; if you like receiving, give also to others. If you love being smiled at, smile at others.

If you do unto others as you want men to do unto you, the world will be a better and more prosperous place.
