JOY PART 4

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4)

In the book of Philippians, Apostle Paul wrote so much about the believers’ character/conduct. He wrote about the Christian life, humility, pride of the Christian life, how we ought to live our lives and chapter 3:1a said,

“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord…” (Philippians 3:1a)

this is to say having done all, rejoice, child of God, joy is it. It is our lifestyle and in verse 2 he said,

“Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers (that is those who have no joy), beware of the concision (those that cut down your joy).” (Philippians 3:2)

“For we are the circumcision (clean heart), which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus (in redemption), and have no confidence in the flesh.” (Philippians 3:3)

Satan does not find a place in a joyful heart. A joyful heart is unstoppable by the enemy.
“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” (Isa 12:3)

It takes joy to enjoy the full benefit of salvation. Joy is the instrument of harvest. It is the tool with which to tap into the riches of God. Note very well “Well of Salvation in Isaiah 12:3”, that is all blessings and miracles are attainable by the instrumentality of joy. To be healed, have joy; to prosper, have joy; to achieve excellence in life takes joy. The devil will fight to hinder your joy, create enemies around you, make you feel bad at the slightest opportunity, will try to use circumstances and even your loved one’s to oppose youyour joy – fight for your joy to stand. No matter how the enemy tries, you have the final say to be in joy or sadness.

“Neither gives place to the devil.” (Eph 4:27)

The devil will fight to kill your joy. There has been a long life battle between darkness and light, joy and sorrow, flesh and spirit – we have a choice.

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” (Gal 5:16-17)

You hold the ace either to the victory or defeat in your life. If you allow the devil to destroy your joy, you will have nothing with which to draw water (your blessings) from the well of abundance.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
(Eph 4:28)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
(Eph 4:29)

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
(Eph 4:30)

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
(Eph 4:31)

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
(Eph 4:32)

But you will not fail for the same joy with which you draw is also your strength to stand and to draw water from the well of salvation.
