DESTINY DESTROYERS I (Twenty people to avoid)

Many years ago as a final year student in secondary school preparing for the West African Examination Council (WAEC), I was drugged, such that I lost concentration to study for my examination. This was not caused by an enemy but by someone I called my best and closet friend. This is an experience I can’t forget, not because I’m angry or have not forgiven my friend, but because it is a sermon I now preach to people.

On that very day, we were studying for chemistry paper, a course I was not so good at, but it was the dream of every form five student to have at least five credit in order to gain admission into the university and because of this, I was studying hard to pass; and also wished my friend well, so that we could enter the university together. Later on I discovered he was not wishing me well. This is somebody we go places together, eat, sleep, take bath and do many other things together.
If they didn’t stop you then, they can’t now.

Psalm 41:8-9
(Psa 41:8) An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

(Psa 41:9) Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

On this faithful day, I complained of headache and he brought two tablets, gave them to me as an analgesic and as a trusted friend, I took it and that’s all I could remember.

People you do not know and do not know you hardly hinder your success, because they do not know your plans and things you do. Many of us have clung to people who are evil, killing us and we still call them friends.

We made that mistake in 2007, we must not repeat it. Enough is enough; they shall proceed no further, (2 Tim 3:9)

Those who stopped your file and employment and will tell you someone is doing it; those who spoke against you and will tell you someone else said, those who have turned the helpers of your destiny against you – it is time to be wise. We must be careful of men. I once wrote message years back, “Having done all fear men.” No wonder Jesus did not commit himself to man because He knows man John 2:24 “But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,”

We must love man, relate but don’t commit your life into man’s hand, no matter how good he appears, the heart of man is evil, even in laughter. God is all you need to get all your needs. Man often is not what and who you think he is, beware of men pleasers.

As God has declared open doors before you, be careful of those forces that can close the door.

Door Closers You Must Avoid

 Avoid a man that has no faith, he speaks against you until he kills your drive for success and makes you a weakling and feel inferior – 2 Thess. 3:2, Rom 15:30-31.

 Avoid the unreasonable man: his talks does not make sense, he claim to be what he is not – Prov 13:20. Courage doesn’t always roar, it is that quite, still voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again.

 Avoid a wicked man; a wicked man does not wish you well, he knows you are making a mistake and will still be clapping and praising you; he mislead you, there are enough dangerous promises for a wicked man in the bible, don’t tie yourself to him. Psalm 37:20-21, 35-36

 Avoid people that causes division – They do divide and rule; they are good in everybody’s eyes and never want two people to meet without him, lest his evils be exposed. They divide the brethren, double speak people and have sugar coated tongue. Rom. 16:17-20 Martin Luther king said “Hatred paralyses life, love releases it; hatred confuses life, love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life, love illuminates it.”

 Avoid an indolent man – lazy, idle, busy body, slothful and lethargic: a lion is always on the way, always fearful – please keep off, 2 the 3;11

 Avoid confusionist, disorderly man – these are men of evil tongues, they are evil speakers, psalm 144:7. They are people of strange tongues, psalm 140: 3, 11, he is not disciplined.

 Avoid habitual sinner, indulgent – he sees nothing wrong in doing wrong things, he’ll say ‘everybody is doing it’ he lies to cover himself, full of excuses for doing the wrong thing. 2 Tim. 3: 2-5, he looks for companion in sin.

 Avoid a greedy and selfish man – he will turn the bible upside down to please his selfish appetite, he will condemn, tithe, offering, seed faith etc. He will do anything to achieve his goal; he is a potential betrayal – Prov. 18:20; I Tim 6:6-11 and verse 18

 Avoid the disobedient person – he makes the word of God of no effect, makes Christianity looks like a circular club: they are unbelieving believers, they doubt and question the word of God with a motive to deceive and mislead – 2 Tim 3:14; I Tim 6:3-5. he is religious but spiritually empty – 2 Tim 3:2-9

 Avoid men that speak against God – The only way you speak against God is to speak against his servants. Anyone who speaks against your pastor or prophet wants to tear the umbrella covering you from harsh weather of life. They have enough reward, don’t join them, you can’t bear it, psalm 105:14-15; psalm2:1-5.
